Buchi Babu Sana is an Indian film director and screenwriter renowned for his contributions to Telugu cinema. Born on February 15, 1982, in Uppada, Andhra Pradesh, he completed his schooling at Z.P.H.S, Kothapalli, and currently resides in Kakinada City, India.

Before embarking on his directorial journey, Buchi Babu worked as an assistant director to the acclaimed filmmaker Sukumar, contributing to several notable projects. He made his directorial debut with the 2021 romantic drama Uppena, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The film, featuring debutants Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty, alongside Vijay Sethupathi, was set in Kakinada and received widespread acclaim. "Uppena" film went on to win the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 69th National Film Awards.

Following the success of "Uppena," Buchi Babu Sana announced a collaboration with actor Ram Charan for a pan-Indian project. The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Vriddha Cinemas, is anticipated to be a high-budget production. Additionally, renowned composer A.R. Rahman is set to compose the music for this upcoming venture.

Buchi Babu's work has been recognized with several awards, including the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Director in Telugu and the Sakshi Excellence Award for Debutant Director of the Year in 2021.
